Members of United youth and Title Fight/ Disengage/ Bad Seed/ you know the crew. Youth crew style with (as expected) some rad DYS influence. There’s also a cool new WB XXX band called Perspective that you might want to check out. I hope to see this band out my way soon. Posted are the cover and the lyrics.
WB Wolfpack - Demo 2012: http://www.mediafire.com/?k2w0qzmzk6344m2
Fast Infest-style hardcore. Super dirty tone and just really fucking fast and pissed off, but with some super heavy, slow, crushing parts too. One of the guitarists from this band is a straight up dick, but everyone else is cool and their singer is one of the best dudes I know. The lyrics are just complete hate against everything that sucks. Members of Masakari, Mad Minds, Our Fight, Search Bloc, xAGADx, Chaotic Alliance, Mammals. Listen to this and get hyped on going to school the next day and shooting jocks.
You’re a stupid jock and no one cares about your life. The stupid shit you say think leads to the stupid shit you say. Do you really think you need to be alive? The next time you open your mouth make sure there’s a gun inside. We will never be the same. You will never see through these eyes.

I guess this had to go up here eventually. For anyone who isn’t familiar yet, get familiar. Chain Of Strength was from Orange County in the late 80’s early 90’s and had huge influence on modern hardcore, particularly youth crew. They put out the True Til Death 7” on Revelation Records and the What Holds Us Apart 7” on Foundation Records which were eventually combined into this discography titled The One Thing That Still Holds True and released it through Rev. I think what makes Chain stand out from other band at the time is they had kind of a sadder, more serious tone to their music. Listen and make your own opinions though.

Backed ass melodic youth crew from the UK. I’ve been jamming this a lot lately so I thought I would throw it up here for people to check out. I feel like most euro hardcore always has something cool and weird going on to pull it apart from the sometimes dry American counterpart. Get into this. If you like it check out the other Just Another Day releases.

If you’re in a hardcore/ punk band and want your demo/ new record up here or a label trying to spread a new release send it in! This blog is also supposed to (partly) be about what’s going on right now in hardcore, so if you’re touring, recording soon, taking pictures at shows,WHATEVER don’t hesitate to shoot the info my way!
Hardcore exists because kids who like it make it happen and get it out there, it’s up to us to work together. We all put in our little bit and in the end we all get to enjoy the bigger thing we’ve created.

This is one of my favorite records. This band gets compared to Panic a lot and if you pay that much attention to this blog, you understand how big of a plus that is to me. This 7” was put out by Just Another Day Records, a now-defunct Belgium label. There was supposed to be another 7” that was never released, but the songs were recorded and released online for free. Maybe I’ll also upload that eventually. Anyways- Debaser, sociopolitically-charged, panic-influenced straight edge from Stoughton, Massachusetts (hometown of Energy, Beartrap, other rad bands). Oh- And the collection belongs to my friend Blake, who will forever be showing off his records to me just to make me jealous.
“Too hardcore for punk, too punk for hardcore. Boston’s black sheep.”

Righteous euro crew! This shit’s from Sweden so you know it’s good. Awesome youth crew that makes me do posi jumps and mosh in my living room. Get with it.
Balance - In Like A Lion: http://www.mediafire.com/?jzjyn3ln5ly
Righteous late-90’s Cleveland youth crew. Originally had members of OLC/ Confront, but that dude got kicked out before this record. Anyways, dudes form this band went on to be in Right Idea, The First Step, and Names For Graves, to name a few. Enjoy. ALSO: Big thanks to my dude Caspa for uploading this to mediafire because I have a new computer and didn’t have it on here yet. Go check out his blog!

So for a minute I slipped up and forgot about Jay Jacoby. He’s an illustrator from Kansas and really solid edgeman. Anyways, I just remembered him maybe 15 minutes ago and decided to check out his blog PositiveArtlook.BlogSpot.Com to see what he’s been up to. Turns out in the past few months he’s actually done a lot of things that I’ve seen and liked, AND back in August I even bought a shirt he drew haha. Here are some of his latest drawings.
TOP LEFT - Stay from Oklahoma play awesome 90’s stuff. This was on the back of a shirt I picked up from them when they came through back in august. The first time I saw this band they played a show with Face Reality and Dire Wolf (sick as fuck) that almost no one went to, but they covered Carry On so it was all cool.
TOP RIGHT - This was something Jay drew for Noose, a badass unapologetic vegan straight edge youth crew band from Chicago. This was used on the flyer for their “It’s Your Time” 7” release show.
BOTTOM LEFT - A hulk-as-fuck edgeman drawn for Truth, from Texas. This seems to be like a better, more defined version of the dude from the demo cover. I dig it.
BOTTOM RIGHT - This was a logo done for Upward, from Italy. I don’t know much about this band but I listen to them every now and then. I’d suggest checking them out.
Truth is cool because when I first started Better To Be Lost it was on Blogspot insted of Tumblr and they hit me up and asked me to post this. Anyways, righteous youth crew from Texas that you should be jamming right now.
